GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Sobieski man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for distribution of child pornography.

Jacob J. Salewski, 24, was sentenced to 60 months behind bars and seven years on extended supervision.

In September of 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation received information from federal agencies about an online user distributing child porn.

DCI learned a person with the online handles “susandoll69” and “ollie9615” had been sending child porn through a popular internet messaging service. (DCI did not identify the service.)

Investigators tracked it down to a home in Sobieski in Oconto County. They determined Jacob Salewski was behind those user names.

DCI was tipped off by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

In addition to prison and supervision, Salewski will have to register as a sex offender.

State investigators received help from the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Humble.
