UPDATE: Man convicted of child sex assault who failed to return to Dodge County Jail back in custody

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Authorities say a man who was serving a jail sentence for a child sex assault conviction and had failed to return to the Dodge County Jail earlier this week is back in custody.

According to Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, Robert Lee Haley, 30, is back in custody.

Sheriff Schmidt tells Action 2 News Haley was arrested shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Juneau, Wisconsin.

Haley is serving a 9-month sentence for 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. He has work release privileges.

Robert Lee Haley, 30, left jail for a pre-approved medical appointment. He never returned.

Haley has active arrest warrants through Dodge County and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Haley previously lived in Beaver Dam. He has no current address.

Haley is serving a 9-month sentence for 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. He has work release privileges.
