Green Bay Police: One injured following shooting on St. George St
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Police are investigating a shooting on the city’s east side.
Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith says a female victim was shot. She was taken to a local hospital. Police say her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police did not release identifying information about the victim.
At about 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of St. George St and Berner St. Officers blocked off the 1300 block of St. George at Berner St.
An Action 2 News reporter saw a white vehicle parked in front of an apartment complex within the police tape. The doors on the vehicle were open. Our crew saw two holes in the driver’s side window.
“Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation no further information is being released at this time,” reads a statement from Green Bay Police.

This is the second confirmed shooting reported in one day. As Action 2 News reported, two people were shot on Green Bay’s west side early Wednesday afternoon.
